HOW WE BEGAN - NanTai Insulation Materials Group, headquartered in Hong Kong have over five decades of distribution management experiences with industrial chemicals, hardware as well as semi-finished plastics. In 1962, NanTai Insulation Materials Group was established and setup as a family run business distributing and trading with chemicals and hardware. Riding high on the economic as as well as industrial developments for China and Hong Kong during the 80s, the Group has evolved to add distribution of semi-finished plastics films and sheets as a core business. A large conversion facility with a total area of 10,000 sqm was set up in 1998. The facility provides a centralised value added conversion center for the semi-finished plastics films and sheets to our domestic and overseas customers.
During the late 90s to early 2000s, China economy have experienced unprecedented economic growth thanks to the market-oriented reforms and opening up, being the world’s largest exporter and drawing many foreign investments to set up world class manufacturing sites in China, escalating the demands for industrial raw materials to great heights. In 2017, NanTai Group established Tenopex Plastics Co., Ltd for specialising in the extrusion of plastic films. Paving way for Tenopex®, our flagship brand of Polycarbonate films and sheets. Tenopex Plastics Co., Ltd has the latest technologies, and is a world class manufacturer of plastics films sheets serving customers worldwide. We manufacture quality films to servicing a wide spectrum of applications in virtually every industry and our technical expertise allows us to keep in line with the latest market changes. ​​

Our manufacturing facility is equipped with state of the art production equipments, built to the most current technology specifications to ensure speeds and low scrap rates. Our “class 10,000” certified production clean rooms enables us to meet the most stringent purity requirements. Our facilities are ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified.

Covid Pandemic changed Tenopex business landscape, we are more dynamic and diversified in our product offerings and servicing channels. As a business, we became more adaptable in challenging conditions. Nantai Insulation Materials Group in Hong Kong was established as a family run business to distribute and trade chemicals as well as hardware.

Tenopex Plastics Co., Ltd is established in Dongguan City, China as an independent investment separate from Nantai Group, as to focus on extrusion of our own flagship brand Tenopex® polycarbonate films / sheets. Tenopex Plastics Hong Kong Ltd was also set up as the sales office for distribution and trade of Tenopex® films and sheets. Optima+ Tearoffs product line is introduced for sports and industry protection shields applications
OptimaPlus Asia Pte Ltd is set up in Singapore as sales office for Tenopex® Packaging films and Sheets
Tenopex Plastics Co., Ltd moved to new location in Dongguan City, China with integration of more eco-conscious directives in our manufacturing setup. Our brand of PolyGreen™ PETG sheets for the print and signage market, is introduced through our OEM partnership with one of the biggest extruder in South East Asia.
Sales operations re-locate from Hong Hong to Singapore following the challenging Covid pandemic restrictions. OptimaPlus Asia Pte Ltd is established as the global sales office for Tenopex® and its full portfolio of products. Our brand of Evercore™ PVC and overlays for the security and ID cards industry is introduced through our OEM manufacturing facility in Dongguan
